Balancing between the sublime and the banal, the witty and the cruel, booming Dutch and vulgar Dutch-English, but always swinging like hell. He needs nothing more than his voice, a bottle of water and a microphone.
That makes ReinAard - the solo a unique experience: a writer who measures himself with ancient personages and with the contemporary words he coined for them. A literary bird's-eye view with a fox as the protagonist - "a superior knave, whose ancient antics illustrate in astonishingly topical fashion how populism works," according to Humo. Or: how the lie still rules, albeit thanks to tasteful verses and cunning curses.
