WARQAD
WARQAD is an intimate dance performance about rituals of loss, inspired by Japanese traditions. A journey through time and memories around the question: how can rituals help us let go?
WARQAD, which means "paper" in Somali, explores rituals that help us cope with loss. Large, fragile pieces of washi paper are used by the dancers as symbols of fragile surviving memories. How do we relate to an impermanent world?
FREIHEIT
In Freiheit, Club Guy & Roni's Poetic Disasters Club takes you on an exciting quest for freedom and the limits we impose on each other. Boundless? Or is it not?
In a world that promises us endless choices, Freiheit shows how limited freedom can sometimes feel. Created in 2019 from a collaboration with German Tanz Mainz, the performance plays with our endless obsession with limitless possibilities.
By changing space, light and music every 3 minutes and 33 seconds, the dancers of the Poetic Disasters Club explore the shifting boundaries between people and ideas. The body becomes a place for creativity, liberation and confrontation.
Freiheit asks the sharp question: where does my freedom end, and where does yours begin?
