Greener behind the scenes
At Natlab, you come for film, culture and connection. Behind the scenes, we’re working to make it all more sustainable. From the projectors in our cinemas to the dishes in our café, we make conscious choices and keep looking for ways to improve.
Natlab is part of Green Cinemas. Together with other independent cinemas, we share knowledge, experiences and practical solutions to make our venues more sustainable. By learning from each other, we turn our ambitions into action.
Less energy, a better cinema experience
Much of our lighting is now LED, and almost all our film projectors have been replaced with energy-efficient laser projectors. This helps us reduce our energy use while giving you an even better viewing experience, with brighter, sharper images on the big screen.
Together with the municipality of Eindhoven, we’re exploring the possibilities for solar panels. We’re also looking at ways to make our building systems, glazing and kitchen more sustainable.
Conscious choices on the menu
In our café and restaurant, we also pay attention to the impact of what we do. We use organic and fairtrade products, offer vegetarian and vegan options, and adapt our menu to the seasons.
We’re also exploring ways to reduce food waste and use energy and materials more efficiently. From what we buy to what we serve, every step offers opportunities to make more conscious choices.
Moving forward, step by step
Becoming more sustainable means continually reviewing what we do, making choices and taking action. Some improvements are already visible; others need more time, research or collaboration. We’re building on what we already do and looking for further ways to reduce our environmental impact.
