virtual reality
Experience our VR programme: step out of reality, step into a work of art
VR at Natlab is not a screen, but an experience. You move through worlds, touch stories and become part of what you see. Two forms, two ways of experiencing, één invitation to look differently.
VR CINEMA – Step into art, experience it from within
No distance, no frame. In this 360° cinema programme, you literally step inside the artwork. The Living Gallery brings paintings to life and draws you into worlds of light, colour and imagination.
- Creation of the Worlds
A journey through the universe of Čiurlionis, where art, music and mythology merge in a hypnotic cycle of creation and decay. - Caravaggio, In Tenebris
A sensory journey through light and darkness. From intimate scenes to raw streets. You move through the life and work of Caravaggio.
VR INTERACTIVE – You shape the experience
Here, you are not a viewer but a participant. You move, choose and discover. Every step changes what you see and feel.
Programme 1: Art from within
- The Scream
Step inside the mind of Edvard Munch and experience his fears from within. An intense, sensory journey through emotion and expression, unfolding in multiple layers and chapters. - Dance Dance Dance – Matisse
Step into the world of Matisse, where movement and colour come together. Through choreography, you become part of the artwork itself. A physical, rhythmic experience of painting.
Programme 2: An intimate story
- A Long Goodbye
You step into the life of Ida, a pianist with dementia. By interacting with objects and activating memories, her world slowly unfolds. A poetic, personal experience about love, loss and letting go.
