Nico has to spend the summer months in Sicily with an elderly aunt. She has lived there all her life in a large, old apartment, furnished in an old-fashioned style and without any modern conveniences. She insists on politeness and lives according to her fixed routines. The arrival of the lively boy disrupts her daily pattern, and a clash between traditions and modern times marks the beginning of their relationship. Gradually, however, a moving bond develops that neither of them knew they needed.
Through Her Lens
Through Her Lens is an international film night that centres female perspectives. Everyone is welcome and no membership is required. We screen films made by women or stories told through their lens, followed by space for conversation and connection.
This series is organised in collaboration with Thryves. Thryves brings together entrepreneurs who believe that how we connect matters as much as what we build. Through shared experiences, moments and spaces, we explore what it means to belong, find purpose and grow.
