Ito Meikyū is a virtual reality experience inspired by Japanese art history and literature, with references to, among others, the Fukinuki Yatai, The Tale of Genji, and The Pillow Book. The work unfolds as a sensory fresco full of emotion and poetry.

In a labyrinth of architecture filled with infinite patterns, scenes emerge—drawn, animated, resonant—where plants, animals, people, objects, and calligraphy together form a world that balances between the inner and the outer. Depending on your choices, new fragments of this universe unfold each time, a play of chance and discovery in which you, as the viewer, are a silent presence at the heart of it all.
