More self-assured than ever before, she files political The Hague and feminism, brings an ode to freethinkers, and makes the political not only personal but also poetically close. Because for people with ideals, life is full of practical objections.
Between dream and deed, Kiki sketches a world full of contradictions, in which she keeps fighting for a place where things are allowed to exist alongside each other: ideas, feelings, bubbles and people who are no longer quite sure either. What is certain is that we are all struggling, and when Kiki begins to sing, everyone becomes silent.
Kiki Schippers has past event making satire on the radio show Spijkers met Koppen for 10 years, writes linguistic columns on current affairs and in recent years toured the theaters with the Vrouwejaars, among others. She was nominated six times for the Annie M.G. Schmidt Award for best theater song and her show with band was in the top 3 of the Poelifinario Kleinkunst for most impressive cabaret show of the year.
