Paul Atreides joins Chani and the Fremen as he prepares to take revenge on those who destroyed his family. While the battle for Arrakis erupts, the myth surrounding his name continues to grow. During Marathon Month, Dune: Part Two returns to the big screen.

Paul Atreides has lost everything. Together with his mother, Lady Jessica, he seeks refuge among the Fremen, the native inhabitants of Arrakis. To be accepted by them, Paul must learn their language, customs and way of surviving in the desert. Along the way, he grows increasingly close to Chani.

Meanwhile, the Harkonnens are preparing to regain complete control of the desert planet. Paul knows that he will eventually have to face the people who destroyed his family. But as he develops into a warrior, the belief that he is the Fremen’s long-awaited messiah also begins to spread. It is a prophecy that could grant him immense power and bring about precisely the future he fears.

While Dune: Part One carefully constructed the world of Arrakis, Denis Villeneuve pulls out all the stops in Part Two. Sandworms are ridden, armies cross the desert and the battle for spice becomes a war for control of the entire universe. Beneath the spectacle, the film continues to ask sharp questions about faith, colonialism and the way leaders can use the myths created around them.

Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya are joined by Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux. Butler is particularly striking as Feyd-Rautha, the ruthless Harkonnen heir who becomes Paul’s opposite.

Dune: Part Two is bigger, darker and more combative than its predecessor. A science-fiction epic with the scale of a war film and an unsettling question at its heart: what happens when everyone begins to believe in your destiny?
