La Petite Dernière
17-year-old Fatima (Nadia Melliti) leaves the suburbs of Paris to study in the city. She discovers a world where she can be queer, but also realizes she is unsure how to reconcile this with her faith. As Fatima makes new friends and cautiously explores her independence, she meets nurse Ji-Na (Park Ji-min). For the first time, she falls truly in love — an experience that confronts her with the different facets of her identity and the choices that come with them.
Nadia Melliti portrays a young woman who is both vulnerable and determined. Her performance earned her the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival, and the film was awarded the Queer Palm. At the Roze Filmdagen festival, La Petite Dernière received the Jury Award for Best Feature. The film is based on the autobiographical bestseller by Fatima Daas.
