The magical-realist documentary Fantastique follows 14-year-old Fanta, one of the few girls within a circus troupe in Guinea-Conakry.

She juggles caring for her sick mother, school, and what she loves most: training, in the hope of joining the next major acrobatics tour. As she tries to meet all expectations and responsibilities, Fanta begins to doubt her dream and searches for her own voice.
