As actress Monique van de Ven prepares for a new role in her house by the sea, a young cyclist crashes into her garden, making her realize that every role she has played is a reflection of her own memories and experiences, a reflection of her own memories and experiences.

Actress Monique van de Ven arrives at her seaside vacation home to prepare for her new film about an older actress. She has brought scrapbooks full of memories of her impressive oeuvre of more than fifty films. Images of the woman in her beach house reflect images from her films, and images from her films intertwine with events from her own life. When a young man with a broken bicycle ends up at her house, they strike up a conversation. His youthful openness and curiosity challenge her to delve deeper into her career and the stories behind it. For twenty-four hours, they talk, eat, and walk along the beach together. Every question, every image, every article evokes a memory for the actress.

Through key scenes from her films, the actress gradually reveals more and more about her personal life: the loves, the adventures, the highs
and lows. Who is this young man and why does she trust him so much? The ending of the film is both surprising and inevitable.
