De la Comédie-Française

Bertrand Usclat, Martin Darondeau
RELEASE Thu 30 Jul

A delightful comedy about a chaotic opening night at the Comédie-Française, one of the world's most prestigious theatre institutions.

At the Comédie-Française, there is one golden rule: the show must always go on. Unfortunately, nothing else seems to be going right for Nina — and with only three hours left before the premiere of her directorial debut.

Lady Macbeth is stuck on a train, equipment is breaking down, egos are clashing, tensions are rising, and panic is setting in. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking, and Nina must somehow hold everything together. Can she save the day before the curtain rises?

De la Comédie-Française is a delightfully chaotic comedy in the spirit of Call My Agent! (Dix pour cent), offering a behind-the-scenes look at life at the world’s oldest still-active theatre company. Every actor appearing in the film is a member of this renowned institution.
