Sarah Miro Fischer
RELEASE Thu 2 Jul

How well do you know the person closest to you? Rose shares a close bond with her older brother Sam, but when he is accused of a serious offence and she is asked to testify against him, everything she thought she knew begins to unravel. Torn between loyalty and her conscience, Rose’s world is turned upside down.

The Good Sister is a gripping psychological drama about Rose’s inner conflict between loyalty and doubt, featuring a powerful lead performance by Marie Bloching. Director Sarah Miro Fischer captures the tension and complexity of human relationships, showing how family ties can lead to unexpected and difficult moral choices. Following her short film Spit (2021), Fischer made her feature debut with The Good Sister, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and later screened at the San Sebastián Film Festival.
