The Dog Stars tells the story of Hig, a young pilot who, together with military man and survival expert Bangley, has built an isolated but well-functioning shelter in a ruthless post-apocalyptic world. When Hig picks up a mysterious radio message one day, he decides to head into the unknown. During his search for the source of the signal, he goes in search of the hope and humanity he believes still exist.
