No joke: on Wednesday, April 1, you can once again catch a brand-new episode of Korte Golf. Host Oscar Kocken welcomes saxophonist Bertus Borgers to this edition of the talk show. This true-blue musician rose to fame as bandleader of Sweet d’Buster and as a guest soloist with Herman Brood and Golden Earring. He still performs regularly — sometimes with family members — and continues to release new songs. Expect plenty of rock ’n’ roll stories from this co-founder of the Rockacademie.

Live music will be provided by singer-songwriter Woody Veneman. He has been active for over twenty years and performs frequently in Eindhoven — solo or with one of his bands or projects.

In 2020, Gina Makken founded the Troep Troopers in Tongelre. She could never have imagined that by 2026, hundreds of volunteers would be working to make Eindhoven free of litter. She’ll be joined by volunteer Ruud de Haard from Vaartbroek. Together, they’ll explain how their initiative not only helps clean up the city but also strengthens connections between people.

Have you heard of disc golf? Since September, you can play it in Eindhoven’s Philips van Lenneppark. Richard Mordant of Discgolf040 worked hard to establish a proper course. The sport is accessible, fun for all ages, and relatively inexpensive — all you need is a single disc to get started. Richard will explain why everyone should give it a try.
