Twelve-year-old Olivia sees her world fall apart when she, her mother Ingrid, and her little brother Tim are evicted from their home. They end up in a bare apartment in a squatted building on the outskirts of the city.

To protect Tim, Olivia tells him that it’s all a movie in which they are the main characters. With laughter and tears, a touch of magic, and lots of help from new friends, they discover that they can be heroes in real life too.
