Director Paolo Sorrentino (La grande bellezza, Youth) returns with his new, breathtaking film La Grazia, once again featuring a powerful lead performance by Toni Servillo. He portrays an Italian President who, during his final term, must make a few crucial decisions while also coming to terms with the loss of his wife.

President Mariano De Santis (Toni Servillo) is approaching the end of his term. In the echoing halls of the presidential palace, he leads a solitary life, mourning the loss of his wife. Before returning to ordinary life, De Santis must make decisions on two major issues still before him: clemency requests from controversial prisoners and a euthanasia bill. His moral objections clash with human desires. What legacy will he leave for his beloved Italy?

Sorrentino captures his story in stunning visuals and does not shy away from surrendering to music, much like his protagonist. La Grazia premiered as the opening film at the Venice Film Festival, where Toni Servillo received the award for Best Actor. "Sorrentino has made some beauties in his career. This is one of his best" (Deadline).
