In Memoriam | Eva Marie Saint

On The Waterfront
Sun 25 Oct 19:30

In Hoboken, New Jersey, the docks are controlled by a corrupt labor union and its equally corrupt leaders. Terry Malloy could have been a professional boxer, but instead, he ended up as a lackey for union boss Johnny Friendly. We are screening this film in memory of Eva Marie Saint.

Without realizing it, Malloy becomes involved in a murder. Later, he meets the victim’s sister, Edie, who puts him in touch with Father Barry. The priest tries to persuade Malloy to testify in court against Johnny Friendly and his men.
