In Al-Eizariya, in the occupied West Bank, Manar and her husband Milad run House of Hope, a free school where Palestinian children learn, sing, and breathe in an atmosphere of art and humanity. But as tensions rise outside, it becomes increasingly difficult for Manar to maintain her pacifist ideals and continue to give her students a sense of security and dignity.

Director Marjolein Busstra, who worked closely with a Palestinian crew, followed the couple for three years, at school, at home, and amid increasing tensions in their environment. Even after October 7, 2023, when the situation becomes increasingly grim, Manar and Milad continue to hold on to their ideals.
