Hidden Figures

Natlab X Red Box @DDW25
Thu 23 Oct 20:00

Especially for Dutch Design Week, Natlab and Red Box present the film Hidden Figures.

Red Box is an exhibition and program that brings together designers, artists, and organizations. The focus is on how design can contribute to strengthening the position of women. The exhibition can be seen at Area51 – Ketelhuisplein 18, Eindhoven from October 18 to 26, 2025, and shows how empathetic and thoughtful design can challenge existing structures and be revised with the aim of creating a more inclusive future.

The film Hidden Figures (2016) ties in seamlessly with this. It tells the true story of three brilliant African-American women at NASA who changed the history of space travel with their work and courage. They manage to provide important mathematical data to make the first successful space mission a reality. This achievement would restore the nation's confidence and inspire people, regardless of race or gender, to dream big. Based on a true story. A film about visibility, equality, and the power of change.
