THE SKELETON KEY (2005)
When dedicated caregiver Caroline (Kate Hudson) takes a job at a remote country estate in Louisiana, she finds herself drawn into a sultry, unsettling mystery. She is tasked with caring for a paralyzed man (John Hurt) who lost the ability to speak following a stroke. His chilling wife (Gena Rowlands) appears to be hiding something regarding the cause of the stroke. As Caroline begins to investigate the house's history, she uncovers horrifying details about its past and present inhabitants—secrets in which dark magic seems to play a recurring role. Her quest for answers spirals into a nightmare that turns her own reality upside down.

His films demand attention and engagement, trusting the viewer to piece the connections together. Nicholas Kaiden is a Dutch film director, producer, screenwriter, and editor. Nick de Vries, his real name, is a graduate of two film programs and holds a strong affinity for the horror genre. That love began when he saw *Ju-on: The Grudge* at the age of eight. Kaiden's directing style is often characterized by psychological tension and visual absurdity.
