Cosy Cinema | The Holiday

Bring your own blanket
Mon 22 Dec and Fri 26 Dec

In The Holiday (2006), we follow Iris and Amanda, two women who are both ready for a fresh start. They spontaneously decide to swap homes: one exchanges her idyllic English cottage for a luxury house in Los Angeles, and vice versa. What starts as an escape from their romantic problems quickly turns into a surprisingly warm, sometimes chaotic, but above all heartwarming journey of discovery towards new opportunities — and perhaps even new loves.

Cosy Cinema
Cosy Cinema is the place where winter feels soft rather than harsh. Where you sink into a film with a blanket around you and the world outside slowly fades away. Snuggling in together, leaning a little closer, the gentle light dimming around you. A small cocoon in the heart of Strijp-S, where stories and warmth go hand in hand.

This year, we’re embracing that feeling with films that embody it completely: warm, tender and just familiar enough. From the joyful softness of Paddington 2 to the wintry magic of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and the timeless comfort of Sleepless in Seattle. All you need to do is bring a blanket. We’ll take care of the rest.
