Eleven-year-old Meissy is thrilled when her father, Tom, returns home after years of traveling, but her mother won't let her interact with him. Is it because he's a wanderer? During secret visits, she gets to know Tom and his wandering world, but also discovers that he sees things that aren't there and that he believes he's a king. Are these fantasies innocent, or dangerous?
