Natlab appoints Ingeborg Koopmans as the new Chair of the Supervisory Board as of January 1.
As of January 1, we welcome Ingeborg Koopmans as the new chair of our Supervisory Board. She succeeds Ad van Berlo, who has fulfilled this role with dedication for the past eight years. With Koopmans, Natlab brings in someone who combines governance experience with a sharp eye for culture and society.
A solid foundation in supervision and law
Koopmans has nearly twenty years of supervisory experience in housing, healthcare, youth services, education and local government, often as chair. This broad expertise in governance and strategic oversight forms the foundation of what she brings to Natlab. In addition, since 2005 she has worked as a public prosecutor at the Functional Public Prosecution Office and is active as a lecturer, committee member and owner of a consultancy practice.
Connected to Eindhoven and familiar with Natlab
Anyone who speaks with Ingeborg immediately notices her connection to Eindhoven. She has followed developments in the city and on Strijp-S for years and is a regular visitor of Natlab. Her motivation to join the Supervisory Board aligns directly with our core: Natlab as a place where different worlds meet. Koopmans:
“Culture is one of the few spaces where different bubbles naturally come together. You share a love of film, music or football without profession, background or status mattering. Especially in a time when society is becoming more polarized, I find that incredibly valuable.”
Director Hannie Derks responds enthusiastically:
“Ingeborg’s strength lies in her perspective on what culture can mean for a city like Eindhoven. Her experience and curiosity fit perfectly with our ambitions. We look forward to working together and to the growth we will achieve in the years ahead.”
Thanks to Ad van Berlo
We thank Ad van Berlo for his dedication, involvement and leadership over the past eight years. Under his chairmanship, Natlab has undergone several important developments.
