During Taartrovers Cinemini, we screen beautiful, sweet, exciting, abstract, narrative and sometimes challenging short films, especially for toddlers and preschoolers. Afterwards, visitors play together in a light landscape consisting of various installations that allow children to discover how light can create stories in a playful way. They explore form, projection, light, shadow, stories, movement and colour. How are shadows created? Where do images come from, how do shapes become larger or smaller and how do shapes disappear into thin air? And what stories can they see in the shapes? For adults, shadows are something natural, but for children they may be a magician who turns adults into tall giants.

As a storm rages over the swamp, little owl Shooom hatches from his egg and is immediately blown out of the nest. With an extra egg on his back, Shooom scurries into the swamp forest, determined to find a mother for himself and the egg. Even if that mother turns out to be an alligator or a raccoon.
