Love seems to be the best remedy for climate anxiety in this quirky, charming romantic comedy.

With an introduction by Alliance Française!

PEAK EVERYTHING

In a remote corner of an increasingly warmer Canada, Adam, a kind, hypersensitive man in his forties and the owner of a dog kennel, struggles with climate anxiety. His father thinks it’s nonsense, his psychologist considers him hopeless, and then his therapy lamp breaks down.

When he calls the lamp’s helpline and hears Tina’s gentle voice, his life changes. Even as earthquakes and environmental disasters become more frequent, the temperature between Adam and Tina rises faster than that of the Earth. Together, they set out on a journey while the world they know gradually falls apart.

With dry humor, plenty of charm, and a touch of romance, Peak Everything approaches a heavy yet urgent theme in a light-hearted way.

ALLIANCE CINÉ

Your monthly French Film Club at Natlab, in collaboration with  Alliance Française. For lovers of French cinema. We start with a short introduction, watch together, and stay to talk afterwards. With a drink. Because sometimes a film only really begins once it’s over.
