The Zone of Interest is an impressive and exceptional war drama unlike anything we have seen before. Director Jonathan Glazer (Under the Skin) shows the banality of evil.

The Zone of Interest won two Oscars.

Camp commander Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel) lives with his family in a beautiful, spacious staff house with a large garden, which borders the wall of Auschwitz. His wife Hedwig (Sandra Hüller) feels like royalty. In this environment she creates a paradise for her family, and she will not let this be taken away from her anymore.

The Zone of Interest was awarded the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival and is the United Kingdom's Oscar entry for Best International Film. Glazer loosely based his work on the book of the same name by Martin Amis.
