NEW DAWN FADES is an intimate and unsettling portrait of a man slowly slipping through the cracks of a system meant to protect him. For years, Akın has moved in and out of hospitals — restless, furious, and exhausted by the endless cycle of treatment, bureaucracy, and institutional indifference. His world shrinks as the system tightens around him, leaving him suspended between frustration and numbness.
As Akın loses touch with his true self, his mind begins to fracture, drifting into an alternate reality where memory, trauma, and imagination collide. The film blurs the boundaries between inner turmoil and external control, revealing the psychological cost of being trapped in a structure that sees patients as cases rather than human beings.
With its raw emotional force and atmospheric storytelling, NEW DAWN FADES offers a haunting exploration of identity, mental health, and the fragile line between survival and surrender.
