All of Us Strangers - Queer Event

Tue 17 Jun 19:00

On June 17, the six political parties, together with Natlab, are organizing a film evening. The British film All of Us Strangers tells the story of Adam, a lonely gay man in his forties who lost his parents at a young age. The film touches on universal themes such as grief, loneliness, self-acceptance, and parenthood, striking a sensitive chord with every viewer.

After the screening, we will host a panel discussion led by council member Gisèle Mambre and a group of panelists.

All visitors will receive a free drink.
Natlab is offering a flexible ticket price for this film, so everyone is welcome!

All Of Us Strangers
Adam (Andrew Scott) lives in London in an almost empty high-rise building. One evening, he unexpectedly meets his mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal), who disrupts the rhythm of his daily routine. As a relationship develops between them, Adam becomes increasingly preoccupied with memories of the past. He feels a strong urge to return to the town where he grew up and visit the house where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) once lived. There, it seems as if nothing has changed since the day they died, 30 years ago.

Pride Week Eindhoven
From June 14 to 22, it’s Pride Week in Eindhoven — and we’d love to celebrate it with you! We believe it’s important that Eindhoven is an inclusive city where everyone can be and express themselves freely and visibly. That’s why we’re organizing a special film night on June 17. We’re doing this in collaboration with GroenLinks, PvdA, D66, SP, Volt, and PvdD, because on this topic especially, it’s crucial to stand united in support of our queer community.
