De Stille Vrouw

In De Stille Vrouw, Dilan Yurdakul gives a voice to her grandmothers, the first generation of migrant women. A generation that left their homeland behind, in contrast to a generation born in the Netherlands. Dilan wonders what she still carries within her from these women, and what she will pass on. For Dilan also faces her role as a woman. What choices does she make as a woman in her thirties, is she ready for motherhood, and how much of a woman is she still? What has been gained and what has been lost?
