The beginning of a new school year brings a group of dedicated teachers together on a middle school: Pierre, Meriem, Fouad, Sophie, Sandrine, Alix en Sofiane. When Benjamin, a young substitute teacher who is looking for financial support for his studies, joins them, he is quickly confronted with the heavy reality of being a teacher, without any experience.
The French director Thomas Lilti, famous from 'Hippocrate' and 'Médicin de Campagne', shines a light on challenges such as lack of resources, declining authority and the delicate balance between work and personal life in the world of education. This movie compellingly shows the reality of being a teacher, peppered with humor and light-heartedness and shows how the helpful and dedicated colleagues lead a newbie through these challenges.
