By day, they scour the streets for discarded treasures, while their home slowly transforms into a fragile tower of collected junk, welcoming even the rats that nest there. But one fateful night, Maria’s warm and protected world collapses. A decade later, now living with her foster mother, Maria (Saura Lightfoot-Leon) seems to have moved on.
