Taxi Driver (1976) marked the second and perhaps most iconic collaboration between director Martin Scorsese and actor Robert De Niro. The film, which won a Palme d'Or at Cannes, is a masterful neo-noir and is one of the most influential films of the 1970s. Before the film, film teacher Twan Arts will explain the history of Taxi Driver in a masterclass and reflects on the talented duo Scorsese & De Niro.

TAXI DRIVER
In the film, Robert De Niro plays a war veteran who traverses the nighttime streets of New York as a taxi driver. The scum and filth that he sees night after night increasingly fuels his urge for violent intervention.

GAME CHANGERS
After two successful editions, Game Changers returns. An iconic film classic will be shown every third Monday of the month. Before the screening, film teacher Twan Arts will explain in a masterclass what makes the chosen film a genuine game changer in the world of cinema.
