Jake is now a sheriff and is about to apprehend the suspect in a murder case. The men think back to their young years in Mexico. Then they made plans for the future. When it becomes clear why Silva has made the journey through the desert now, the question is whether there is a future for them together.
Strange Way of Life premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. After The Human Voice with Tilda Swinton, this is Almodóvar's second English-language short film. The costume design was in the hands of fashion house Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, who is associated with the film as a co-producer.
