No Dogs or Italians Allowed is a heart-warming, magically original stop-motion film about director Alain Ughetto's Italian grandparents, who struggle out of poverty to find happiness and prosperity in France. With humor and warmth, Ughetto tells the epic of his family through his grandmother Cesira. She ends up on the mountain because of her love for Luigi, one of 11 children from an Ughetto family. Land is scarce and so is food. Luigi and his brothers therefore leave for France and Switzerland every winter to do the hard work there. Children are born, new loves are celebrated, houses are built and in the meantime everyone dreams of a better life.
