EO (“eee-ohhh”), a gray donkey with melancholy eyes, meets both good and bad people on his life's path through modern-day Poland and Italy. He undergoes joy and pain, the arbitrariness of the wheel of fortune, makes his happiness a disaster and his despair an unexpected windfall. But unlike humans, he never loses his innocence. Polish legend Jerzy Skolimowski provides a visually experimental addition to Robert Bresson's 1966 black-and-white drama 'Au Hasard Balthazar'. 'EO' won the 'Jury Prize' at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022.
