In this comical operetta three women are waiting for their husbands to return while they are fighting at the front. With a joyful, ironic subtext, Steef de Jong asks an important question: What is actually worth fighting for?

This programme is Dutch spoken.

Steef de Jong inventively combines decor, images, text, music and play to create this performance. Nadina sings about her admiration and love for her 'brave hussar' when deserter Bumeri suddenly breaks into her bedroom. But as she finds out that he does not keep bullets, but little chocolates in his revolver, she unexpectedly feels charmed by this 'little chocolate soldier'. Confused by his unconventional perspective on the nonsense of war, she starts asking herself the question what being brave actually means.
