Young teacher Ugyen from Bhutan has reached his final year of training as a teacher and is sent to a remote village in the mountains, Lunana, to complete his last tasks.

Due to the great heights and lack of facilities of his new, quite primitive environment, Ugyen wants to leave again almost immediately after arrival. But the heartwarming way he is welcomed by the children he is about to teach and the spiritual powers of the villagers make him change his mind. He slowly changes his ways and fate forever.
