This film deliciously intertwines the stories of visionary engineer Gustave Eiffel's two greatest passions: Adrienne Bourgès and building a 300m tower dominating the skyline of Paris.

Ater he has succesfully completed building the Statue of Liberty in New York, engineer Gustave Eiffel is ready to conquer the rest of the world. The French government asks him to propose a spectacular design for a the World Exhibition of 1889. Eiffel is more interested in other projects at first, but everything changes when he meets the love of his life again. The long lost and forbidden passion between Gustave and Adrienne inspires him to make the design of the now world famous Eiffel Tower.
