Striking symmetry, pastel coloured compositions, an amazing cast and a meandering story about a group of eccentric French journalists, an artist a.k.a. murderer, student riots and an abduction. Let's take a look at the world through the eyes of master cinematographer Wes Anderson!

This new film by Wes Anderson, who also directed amongst others THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, MOONRISE KINGDOM and FANTASTIC MR. FOX, is composed of a collection of stories from the last edition of an American magazine that was made in a fictional French town during the 20th century. The magazine, its journalists and stories were inspired by Anderson's love for The New Yorker's style and authors. He discovered the magazine in the library of his high school and collected hundreds of bound copies in the following years. And now that fascination results in a crisp, wonderfully made and spectacular film.
