Writer and director Antoinette Beumer turned her own best-selling debut novel into this film! We go on a journey with Eva while she starts digging into her father's past, who has been in a psychiatric facility for over 30 years, which leads to substantial discoveries.

Eva seems to have it all: a family, a succesful company and her dreamhouse. But when her mother suddenly passes away, her world is turned upside down. She discovers that her life is based on lies and secrets, starts have nightmares and suffers from anxiety, believing that there is some kind of bad things wil happen to herself and her children. When she starts searching for the causes of those anxieties, she discovers gaps in her memory and decides to contact her father. That's the start of a staggering search through and to her past.
