To be able to pay his bills, struggling actor Étienne agrees to give a theatre workshop in a prison.

Étienne's expectations could not really be any lower, but he is surprised by the acting talent in the motley group of detainees and decides to take the leap and bring Samuel Beckett's reknown play Waiting for Godot to the stage. When the group finally gets permission to start performing outside prison walls, Étienne finally gets his chance to shine and prove his acting skills. The group goes on a tour that becomes increasingly succesful, but also makes every return to their places behind bars even harder than the one before. And with every time they get back, Étienne becomes more and more aware of the fact that despite their triumphs, there could come an end to this adventure any minute. Based on a true story.
