November 1944. At the Zeelandic peninsula Walcheren, in the midst of ten thousands of fighting allied and German soldiers, the paths of a Dutch boy fighting for the Germans, a lost English glider pilot and a Zeelandic girl that has become part of the resistance against her will cross.

In the autumn of 1944, the Battle for the Schelde took place in Zeeland and the west of Noord-Brabant, in the Netherlands. More than 10.000 people died. The battle was decisive in the course of the Second World War and is known as one of the most violent and important battles in Western Europe. During this battle, three youngsters meet unexpectedly and are confronted with crucial choices that do not only influence their own, but also other people's freedom.
