Milla meets Moses in a very unexpected way, on the concrete platform of a train station, when he presses his shirt to her nosebleed. They fall in love in a dreamy, breezy and vibrant way. Together they throw themselves into life, which turns to not only be bright: Milla has cancer and Moses is homeless and a drugs addict.

While Milla is being treated for cancer, she is also very much focused on growing up and discovering who she is and wants to be. More than anything, she wants to do that with the rebellious Moses. He raises a lot of red flags with her parents, but they put their pedagogical strategies aside to give their ill daughter the opportunity to be as happy as possible.

BABYTEETH is a quirky film and surprising debut. Toby Wallace received the award for Best New Acting Talent at the Venice Film Festival.

"A shattering, refreshing and achey debut that treats its characters with rare respect, and a quiet warmth."
